H.E. Roland Beridze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Zambia (with the residence in Pretoria) presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Zambia, H.E. Hakainde Hichilema
On January 23, 2024, H.E. Roland Beridze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Zambia (with the residence in Pretoria) presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Zambia, H.E. Hakainde Hichilema. As part of the ceremony, during a short meeting between the Ambassador and the President discussed the prospects for deepening relations between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral formats. The sides noted that the existing partnership between the two countries is based on mutual respect for the universally recognized principles of international law, including the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries. It was noted that, along with political partnership, Georgia and Zambia have great potential for economic and business cooperation. President Hichilema stated that Zambia is committed to deepening relations with Georgia, and added that Zambia is and will remain a committed supporter of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The Honorary Consul of Georgia to the Republic of Zambia Mr. Chabuka Jarome Kawesha has also attended the ceremony.
