On November 13, 2023, the Ambassador of Georgia Roland Beridze (with residence in Pretoria) presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Angola, H.E. Mr. João Lourenço. As part of the ceremony, during a short meeting between the Ambassador and the President, parties discussed the prospects for deepening relations between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The sides noted that the existing partnership between the two countries is based on mutual respect for the universally recognized principles of international law, including the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries. It was noted that, along with political partnership, Georgia and Angola have great potential for economic and business cooperation.

President Lourenço stated that Angola is committed to deepening relations with Georgia, and added that Angola is and will remain a committed supporter of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
