Bilateral Visits and meetings

From Georgia

1994 - Official Visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mr. Alexandre Chikvaidze to the Republic of South Africa

26-29 May 2009  - Visit of the Delegation (Mr Paata Kalandadze, Director of the Department of Consular Affairs and Mr Zurab Dvalishvili, Deputy Director of the Department for Asia, Africa, Australia and Oceania) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and consultations with the Department of International Affairs and Cooperation (DIRCO)

On 17-24 March 2013 Mr Konstantin Surguladze, State Minister of Georgia on Diaspora Issues paid a working visit to the Republic of South Africa.

On 19 September 2013 the first bilateral Senior Officials' Level political consultations were held in Pretoria between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Department of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa. The Georgian side was represented by the Director of the Department of Asia, Africa, Australia and the Pacific Rim Ms Eka Akobia, the Director of the International Economic Relations Department Mr Levan Tsintsadze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of South Africa H.E.  Mr Beka Dvali and Counselor of the Embassy Mr Ilia Imnadze. From South African side the consultations were led by the Deputy Director General on Europe Ambassador Rapulane Molekane, and attended by the Chief Director of the Department of Central and Eastern Europe Mr Mzolisa Bona, the Director of the Department of Eastern Europe Ms Nowetu Luti, and the Deputy Director of the Office of the Deputy Director General on Europe, Mr Jerome Barnes.

  • Protocol on Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Georgia and the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Africa.
